The Library at the Dock by New Age Veneers

Comments New Age Veneers 01-07-2014

A brand new readers and information seekers haven has been opened in Melbourne's Docklands. New Age Veneers were excited to be involved in the creation of the amazing library named, 'The Library at the Dock' located by the waterfront at Dock Square.

Developed by major partners Lend Lease, Places Victoria and the City of Melbourne as well as architects Clare Design and Hayball, guests to the library can now enjoy a relaxing environment. More importantly an educational experience - with a difference. This library is a far cry from the dusty, sleepy and really quite pale libraries we grew up with.

As well as this library being stunning, it features a state-of-the-art digital collection, heritage exhibition, community spaces and a dedicated kids library with interactive technology.

In terms of design interior, the library features New Age Veneer's Navurban Coolum Spotted Gum acoustic ceiling panels, as well as Macassar and Sandstone desk tops to create an earthy, relaxing tone. A must see next time you are in Melbourne!
